Expect this for the CT5-Blackwing? - whatever they call it, but with more carbon fiber, and some Recaro's and a rumored 6-Speed Manual
That interior does nothing better than the CTS. I see the same GM plastic buttons, and the panel fitment is poor from the photos alone. Look at the gap between the glovebox and the wood trim on the upper left, or the gap between the right edge of the glovebox and its adjacent panel.

GM can benchmark BMW all they want, but the CT5 will suffer the same fate on the market the CTS did.
It does do things better than the CTS though. Gotta remember, the CTS interior was so awful, that anything new is an improvement. It finally includes an infotainment system and physical buttons which actually work well and won't make you angry trying to use it like the CTS.

If you have tried the previous CUE system paired with the touch sensative controls, as found in the previous CTS and ATS, this is very well indeed a huge upgrade from the CTS. But like I said in my original post, materials and build quality will still be typical GM (otherwise known as below average) but the tech at least, is 100% an upgrade from the CTS. It is actually a bearable interior now

Would it be my first choice? Hell no! But I could easily live with it as long as the seats, chassis, and steering is as good as the last CTS-V and ATS-V and if they gave it a manual.

Never said it was amazing, but its definitely better than the CTS.
