I heard that Conti's can have a weak side wall. I blew one out pretty badly once on a pothole on 93. That's the only decent thing about a runflat is that you can drive on it for a little while.

The aspect ratio profile? 45, actually. I have BMW Assist and AAA if I ever blow a tire, and a patch kit in my trunk. After 3 years living in fear on MA roads of damaging a tire, I actually realized that having RFTs were getting me damaged tires. I couldn't justify the ride quality anymore, either, going onto the DWS's were like night and day.
