Of course I was serious. It looked like in the posters sig he drove a vert and the vert is 400-500 pounds heavier. Therefore I was guessing that if he hit that speed in his vert than a coupe weighing 500 pounds less should potentially hit an even higher speed?
Maybe not, and maybe its all about aero at those speeds and little to do with weight of the car but I would think weight still has something to do with it.

Its not the weight... read carefully.... engine rpm was raised to hit natual top speed in top gear.... The car is limited by its final drive ratio not by weight.
