I run 295s rear and 285s front--no known issues after 4,000 miles. 305s will probably fit onto the rear wheels but it'll be a stretch both figuratively and literally (perhaps others that have done it can comment). My worry would be the tolerances of the Xdrive system between front and rear. I've spoken to folks offline who are running your proposed setup and have experienced oddities--tough to say whether it's the imbalance in the rolling circumference.

I run Michelin Pilot Spot 4Ss since I need a bit of wet-weather capability. I can't speak firsthand to the Cup 2s but reviews indicate they're amazing performance/track tires--perhaps overkill for road-only scenarios.
