I am not doubting or disputing you at all.

My wife’s Lexus has an oem heated wheel. As you may know, Lexus often comes with a partial wood wheel, basically from 10-2 and 5-8 position, if I have my clock face right. There is no heat that can be felt in the top and bottom, the complete wood portion, yet it works well in the leather parts.
