It's an OBDII connector (right angle) with about a 6 inch lead that goes to a little distribution box with two connectors on it, one for the V1, one for accessories (remote display). There's a square hole next to the OBDII port under the dash that allows for easy access to run the cable up. There's plenty of room behind the dash and the panel in the door frame lets you get to it.
