I have bought extended warranty. If it is your third panel the question is how many panels they will replace in 5 years for me
It would be cheaper for BMW to improve the panel construction, as probably it is the matter of used to soft glass or something like this. Even the cheapest smartfones screens do not crack like this.
Interesting thing is that in new X5, X6 and 3 and 8 series they resigned from A/C touch pannels. Maybe that was one of the reasons.
