Thanks for all the input. I'll look into getting it repaired after a little time goes by. I'd hate to get it repaired and then have it happen again soon afterward. At least in my case I almost never see it as it's on the opposite corner of the vehicle from me. (Also, in my defense, my wife was in the car with me at the time and will vouch for me that I only lightly scrapped the curb.)
But everyone else, be careful out there! They're softer than you think.
