Btw... I stepped our build down to a 40i from a 50i, in part because the reconnaissance I did indicated BMW's sweet spot was the inline 6; apparently, the previous-generation N63 V8 was not the most reliable. Will consider installing the MPPK upgrade if one becomes available. (This is also my wife's daily driver
)
I think the guidance to the consider the X3M or the X5M when those become available is sound advice, if what you're looking for is V8 heft and if you can wait.
That said, if you can live with that iPad on the dash, go for the GLC. You will never regret having that motor under your hood.
