You don't need full BMW service history - full service history by a VAT registered garage is sufficient.

I had an E60 M5 with half of the service history having been carried out by independent garages. I was able to get the warranty from Mondial without issue.

4 months later I had the EDC and steering column replaced under warranty by my local BMW dealer and a month after that the clutch and flywheel also replaced under warranty!

£6k in warranty work within the first 6 months of ownership.
