I know Porsche will be coming out with a new GT4, but I believe that will be even a tier higher than the M2C and will costs significantly more than a M2C. I know a 718 GTS can hit six figures, but My build is not that crazy.

My colleague has a 718 GTS and I have an M2C on order, so will do a back-to-back comparison as soon as I get it, but without even driving the M2:
Chassis: 718 GTS>M2C
Practicality: M2C>718 GTS
Suspension: 718 GTS>M2C (unless BMW delivers some magic here)
Price: M2C>718 GTS
Engine: M2C>718 GTS
Transmission: almost equal, but slight edge to the porsche?
Looks and interior: personal taste, so up to you
In the end it depends what you want in a car:
Both will likely be very good drivers cars for the street. The 718 will probably be the better car around the track (time wise), but the M2C with the 6 cylinder might be more engaging.
I personally can't justify the price gap between the two (€25k?), love the 6-cylinder prospect, and I really like the practicality of having a backseat.
You might prioritise differently.
