UPS won't help you at all, even if you bought the insurance. I just had a package sent to me that looked like the UPS guy was playing basketball with it and then decided to jump on top of it. IT was insured for $600, they denied the claim saying it wasn't in the package designed for the product from the manufacturer. So if it wasn't shipped from a business that has specially designed packaging your hosed.
Made no sense to me since it was packaged well and it was obvious it was abused in shipment.
