These results swing back and forth don't they. Once both cars were up and running, the AMG neither fell further behind nor gained on the M5... which, for this race at least, means it was all about the launch.

That said, the stats are starting to swing in the M5's favour in terms of # of dragraces against the E63S won.

At the strip, fuel, the driver, DA, temp, prep, heat soak, tranny temp... could all swing the outcome.

As the DD, though, I'll take the M5 every time comfortable in the knowledge that everything works, it works quickly and intuitively and it'll hang with just about anything... and do so even when the road has corners.
