DallasLife let me know how this turn out. I live in the Dallas area and am considering the M5. My sureness of purchasing the M5 has somewhat decreased after reading all the negative comments here about horrible brake noise and those who will only lease the car because they are so afraid of long-term reliability.
I have always bought cars and typically keep and drive them a long long time. I would rather a vehicle I could depend on rather than one with extreme performance that I never own and thus have a car payment for the rest of my life. My wife drives a M550i that has been trouble free, but due to what I have read here now I am considering Toyota Tundra!!!
By the way, from which dealer are you purchasing the car?
