Do UK market cars not have the auto stop/start on/off button below the engine start button that has the memory function to remember what you’ve set it to?
I don’t have any experience with VGate, but with BimmerCode and
this official BimmerCode dongle, you
can code the auto stop/start to “active” or “inactive” — at least for US market cars.

I know you’ve already purchased the equipment you have so you probably want to make that work understandably. But if you can’t, this may be a viable option for you.
