Just curious as I've never assumed a lease: what if the previous lessee had made internal modifications that either damaged internal components or voided the warranty in some way, like throwing a DME tamper code? Let's say they haven't been to the dealership since doing so and it's not yet noted in the dealer's database, then you assume the lease.
I just have a fear of inheriting someone else's mess and being responsible for it at lease turn-in.
