This BMW computer system is like a network of servers with sensory and switches.
All local dealer can see using their diagnosis tools are just the surface of the system.
While corporate technicians will be able to see a lot more data logged by the system.
I have heard from my SA that a few cars got flagged by Corporate Tech after they found out that ECU Timer got resetted by external device.
That's just from his dealership.
