Seriously, the car should not do this - and from a quick search, it is only certain people who are having the issue. So... it certainly sounds like a problem rather than a purposeful design. |
Problem has been around forever on these cars; BMW says it's normal and has not really provided a real long term solution.
BMW is not going to pay for it; good luck trying.
The last 3 M5's I've owned have had some variation of this issue. I've replaced pads on all of them including my F90 M5 Comp and the problem is gone.
You can deal with BMW or replace them yourself.
