I just wanted to confirm in your last picture; in the bag with the 2 washers and O-rings I only used the large O-ring for the oil filter housing and the larger washer for drain plug is this correct? I think the smaller O-ring and washer are not used and possibly for a different engine since this kit is used for the F10 platform as well as many others.

Yes, the filter 'kit' has rings for several applications.
