I remember for my old E46 M3 with the newer wide screen LCD Nav, you could spend $700 for a NTSC TV tuner. Now in the USA NTSC broadcast is gone and broadcast networks are now broadcasting HD in
ATSC. What tisme has is probably a
DVB-T tuner for Europe.
Assuming BMW didn't make a separate ATSC tuner for North America, and if that same EU tuner hardware doesn't support both DVB-T and ATSC, it would be unlikely that we can have this TV feature for the US.
