Thanks Mike. After searching the internet I can't find anything to suggest a specific reason why the Castrol Edge 0W-30 A3/B4 European Formula (can currently buy on Amazon for $50/6 quarts) would be a problem for the M5, but it does not officially meet BMW's updated specs. If I go the BMW branded oil route, do I buy the LL-01 spec or the LL-01 FE spec 0W-30 oil? I have a 2018 M5.
