Yes, it's amazing the color and smell of used transmission fluid at over 100k miles, compared to engine or axle oil at much lower mileages.
I expect to see more common examples of 300k mileage posted on forums like this one and others, as transmission fluid change becomes more widespread.
Carmakers and dealers are silent, or in denial about transmission fluid changes. Caveat emptor, as usual. The consumer needs to look out for himself/herself, as usual.
