I was born in Idaho Falls, and lived there until I was about 9. A lot of family still out there. I miss tubing on the Snake for our family reunions. Still don't know how I survived
I remember snowmobiling in Yellowstone back then with my uncles, my dad, and a few other folks. I was near the back following my dad, when they went a little off the path. My dad disappeared straight down into the snow with his snowmobile about 20 yards ahead of me. He crawled out, and yelled, "Don't go this way!!" I'll never forget that
I really took all the fishing, hiking, and skiing (Sun Valley no less) for granted back then. It's wild thinking back to how much the Rockies dominated the landscape and skyline. Now I'm in Jersey…
