Don't speed and you won't get a ticket. I just received a ticket on 3 August. It was waiverable, so I called it in and paid for it via credit card. Both the police officer and the clerk were polite to me. I even sent an e-mail to the Avon Chief of Police to thank the polite police officer.

It's always easy to get upset over being cited for speeding, but safety inspired or not, it's still a law. If you fight the ticket, you will get another court date. A not guilty plea is not settled the first time you go to court. The benefit of pleading not guilty means you can speak to the prosecutor at the next hearing and he can help work out something that can work for the both of you. Also, points are assessed by the BMV, not the judge. The judge merely sends along the guilty verdict.

My fine only cost me $90 for doing 80 in a 65. I would rather have the $90, but I know I could have avoided it by not speeding.
