I don't get the heavy push for PPF'ing the whole vehicle . It reminds me of my grandmother keeping plastic covers on her nice sofa to protect the fabric. No matter how high quality the PPF it still looks artificial, lacks the luster and shine of the original paint, and eventually starts to peel at the edges. I speak from experience because I have my M5 coated with PPF along the leading edge of the hood and the front bumper, and after 19 months I can definitely tell where water is getting under the edges. And it's not a case of "bad installer." Take your lickin' with chips and small scratches, I say, and get a new car every 3 years.
