Ehhh, I came from M2 and honestly M5 drives pretty tight and nimble without any floatiness you'd expect from a large sedan. I only know I'm driving a big car when doing U-turns. If you're coming from Lotus then yes this feels like a boat, but no it's the least "boat" ish family sedans on the market now. Never driven a M8 so I can't comment on that
