There is a picture of it pulled out. Apparently an o-ring seal. Must be pretty tight to hold up to 29 psi. When I changed tanks, I looked pretty closely and did not think the sensor cam out. I guess I did not look closely enough. The billet tank includes new o-rings for the re-used sensor. My guess is that you might have to break or cut the sensor and surrounding area out of the stock tank and then trim away material to free it.

At present I do not plan to buy one of these but maybe I will think about it more. I have considerably reduced heat but it is not certain heat causes the tanks to fail.
