I'm in Plumbing and HVAC parts and supplies, have been at it since the late 80's and loving it everyday. Sales is more about relationships and service and your service to a customer stands out above all. Price doesn't even come into play when you produce excellent service! I've borrowed supplies from one guy i knew had a lot on hand and driven across town to bring a guy some of them for a job he forgot to get.
Check out how busy all these trades people are these days, and this is the industry to get into IMHO.
