I'll give the whole order of BMWs:
1970 1602, 1972 tii, 1979 528, 1995 318ti, 2001 525, 2001 540i/6
the tii was flooded in (salt water)in my garage in 1992, needed money for house repairs so I collected the insurance (family needs over /future rust bucket), but was a very fun car), really liked the 540i(lowered) but driving here in Charleston in stop & go became annoying. Now the i3, also lowered, bilstiens, and potenzas on the rear and rears moved to the front 15/18mm spacers, this might be blasphemy in the halls of BMW, but the i3 is quicker, more comfortable, has all the modern convenience and will certainly out handle the tii, and sincew it won't rust, more sustainable.
Funny to read all the self-rightousness(sic) regarding ICE vehicles as learnt in High School physics: is there's no free ride energy-wise. My i3 is a rex and I make no apologies for using the convenience of the generator, have taken road trips of well over 700miles in one day. If you think you're saving the planet driving a car...
Cheers, APT
