And many times (probably most) it’s the other way around….
Where people wanting to make a quick buck will buy cheap Chinese junk (from alibaba many times), and toss their sticker on it, calling it their own.
“White labeling” is a term for that in business where you take someone else’s product, and brand it as your own. likely coming from little white stickers you could stick on anything with your name on it. But not 100% sure if that’s the origin of the term, but either way the definition Is the same.
