I just did my 4-year oil change since I did not pay for additional maintenance at the dealership. This post was very helpful. I would recommend purchasing the BMW oil filter wrench. I did and it cost me $28.00 at my local dealership. I did have to buy a 27mm 6-point socket from Harbor Freight for around $4 and change. I also bought the Holt oil funnel kit from Harbor Freight. They have different adapters that mount to fill point on the engine worked great. Changing the oil was a piece of cake.
