What he discovered while looking at the new Plaid was that Tesla is managing its design and assembly costs by carrying over controls and other interior elements from the Model 3 and Model Y. He couldn't justify spending $150,000 USD on something that looked like a $55,000 Model 3 on the inside and without a dedicated gauge cluster and HUD. He went to the M8 without ever having owned a BMW in his life.

At any rate, both of your cars are beautiful. Love the color choices. Ciao!
Yeah not having HUD sucks, but both model s and x have retained the dash, only 3 and Y don't have the dash and just have the screen (which I hate btw lol) but bmw and other car manufacturers aren't really that much better... look at an m3 vs an m5, very similar other than not having the digital climate controls (same dash and a few other elements). If you really wanted to argue you could say the cheaper 3 and 4 series get more love than the 5 and the 8, 3 series lci gets idrive 8 vs m8 doesn't for example (both 2023 model years). Same with teslas 3 and Y get things first and they trickle down the line since more people are willing to spend 40-60k on a car than 130-160k on a car so makes sense to test things out on the more affordable model before putting those features on what's considered a premium model. (Like the virtual ac vents, horizontal tilting screen etc)
