If you can't even show portions of the car it shows how little confidence you have in your design, and car concept. The cars are too far developed as of now and changes can't be made to the side pod regions and crash structures any more as there simply isn't enough time nor wind tunnel time to reengineer everything before it's locked in. So if you can't even show those areas that are locked in you really don't have confidence in your design. It is what it is, some teams tend to be super secretive.
That has nothing to do with a controlled press release...
