Well, personally haven't done it yet, since I don't have my car, and since I don't have a car to physically scan I can't tell you what is in the service plan, but here ya go. (per the bmw service manual). If I get one of these at my shop I can post exactly what the situation is and if it's needed or not. I was just guessing considering usually bmw just say drain it and fill it. but for example on the front diff it says DONT fill it until it starts leaking out the fill plug because that's considered over filled, you have to use exactly 600ml of fluid.
