So if I understand correctly, the coding just makes the inner lights come on with the outers then? What other things happen without the coding? Just curious. I haven't heard back from Vic on a time to do mine, but I have them ready to install and wondered what would happen if I installed them, but had to wait a couple of days for Vic. Is the car not driveable or just doesn't function 100% until coded?

It will definitely be drivable, but it will be ugly haha. Half the inner lights will only work for braking, only half the outer lights with work for turn signals.
I drove like that for few days, and so did few other members while waiting on parts or coding. Other motorists on the road will still understand what your car is doing. Won't be dangerous. Just not pretty. Hope it makes sense
