Otherwise, the point is not that the 550i isn't a good car, it is. And it's not that the M5 owners are arrogant or want to be seen. Not at all.
The problem is that everyone should be happy and HONEST with what they have. If you like the 550i better or it's only what you could afford, that's fine. But wear it proudly and don't try to show that your driving something it isn't. In fact, the guy I was griping about could have shown how cool a 550i could be with the black out treatment etc that he has on the car. Love and own what you have. Don't be a poser.
