Wouldn't it be much easier and faster to just smash, grab, and run? Even if it's noisy. They'd be gone in seconds.
On a side note, I've had some pretty serious dents and vandalism while my car was parked in "safe" areas.

Possibly, I can't tell the difference but there was lights metal shavings around the hole. I would have assumed a bullet would have done more damage. IDK.
