I just replaced my windshield about a month ago and while they used OEM glass, they used some generic molding roll didn't sit flush against the edge of the roof (with resulting gaps). I had them replace the glass again using the OEM molding and all is well now.
Good luck.

So they came to my house and replaced the windshield with all bmw parts yesterday. Took 2 guys 45 mins. All items were new and they did a great job. Seems like nothing needs to be calibrated. Only thing I see is the HUD seems like it might need to be adjusted just a little bit other than that much easier than the dealer.
Btw with all bmw parts it cost my insurance company $1539 with labor compared to over $3k my bmw dealer quoted me to do the work.
