I ordered the oil and filter from ECS tuning. They sent this oil and I used it.

The car calls for a particular type. Longlife 01 FE But I would doubt anyone at the BMW shop actually looks that closely. LOL.

The Longlife 01 is not quite the same for fuel efficiency standards, but is fine to use. The grade 5W-30, 0W-30, etc, is your call.

My intent is to source the Longlife 01FE in the future and use that. I don't want to quibble over a few bucks. I will be interested to see what oil they actual use at my next 'on them' service in the spring.
I want to see the bottle!
