Not to be difficult, but I am not sure that BMW USA offers 0W30 for diesels. For example, FCP Euro offers only 5W30 BMW branded oil. At this point, I am getting the free oil changes under warranty, so it's not a urgent, but eventually, I'd like to change my own oil.
When I took delivery of my 535d less than a year ago with less than 5k miles, I am assuming that it came with factory-installed LL12FE oil. However, I really didn't notice a marked difference in the mileage after the first oil change. Presently, I am getting about 40 mpg and 35 mpg for interstate and suburban driving respectively. If 0W30 oil improves on that, I hope it becomes available here in the future.
