I think the CarWow video was a pretty good test of both cars, same track conditions, same time etc.
I'm not surprised the times he was posting on a hot racetrack are faster than a cold damp UK runway, and nor should anyone else be. If the blue M5 he tested was a BMW press car it would only raise my doubts about the times, imo. Would it really be a 100% standard car, who knows.
Two production customer cars on the same track at the same time would be the best comparison videos and I'm sure more will be coming out in the near future. Nevertheless, before watching this video i was expecting the M5 to be the faster car.
