Wait until they start tuning the f90. Plus steering, suspension different turbos. M5 is a different beast. You canÂÂ’t compare the two.
The S63tu4 engine has the same exact limits as the S63tu, meaning the internals are still cast. People will still be bending rods on future F90's that are modded. The main advantage in the F90's drivetrain as far as modding goes is the new ZF8 transmission that will be able to hold more than 700wtq. But then again, the M550i has the same exact transmission hardware so it'll have the same limits as the F90. The F90 will have the advantage in suspension design though.
Really? So we won't see f90s pushing 800hp on stock internals anytime soon?
Well I don't know about anytime soon, but the two biggest makers of power are tuning and turbos. But even a legitimate flash tune can make over 650whp on one of these engines and with the internals still being stock, you are definitely asking for trouble even at that power level.

But I'm sure we'll be seeing the same old stuff of tuners out in the world somewhere posting videos of tunes making 900whp on some dyno for the F90 M5 on stock internals. Wash, rinse, repeat from the F10 generation to the F90. Many of these tuners just want your cash and could care less if you bomb your motor. But hey, if you're gonna bomb your motor, might as well do it on a cheaper M550i.
