The tow truck driver picks up a lot of these BMWs. He gave it a shot. basically told me, it's likely the starter.
I'm pretty sure the shop did _not_ use a Bosch starter. They probably used some aftermarket bullsh**. The shop said they'll end up warrantying the part but at least they won't charge me for labor again.
