Ok, you have me at technicalities...so the Panamera's curb weight is about 50lbs lighter...it still has the obvious handling advantages of a trick-AWD system. When we're discussing power in the mid-500 range, combined with cars weighing around two ton mark, traction issues are paramount; the Panamera Turbo S's AWD will no doubt lay down a cleaner exit out of any corner, and I'm sure there's more to it than that. Plus the Panamera clearly isn't down on power; its combined 550bhp & 553lb-ft are more than a match for the M5's 560bhp & 502lb-ft output.
