First M5's held up in port

Apparently all the M5's that came over on the Thermopylae are being held in port by BMW. Unspecified software updates are being sited as the reason.

Best guesses thus far is BMW will release them end of Feb or sometime in March.

I'm not sure about the cars that shipped after that first batch, but mine is stuck in Port Hueneme for a while longer.

Good point, I thought he said World, but after hearing the date attention slipped and maybe this is just this side of the pond.

Hoping you are correct. Heard from BMW NA that retail release is now March 31.

yeah, the Spartans are holding the Thermopylae pass pretty strongly I would say. Perhaps the Persians may find an alternative way around? We'll see! Hopefully the Phocians don't let them through!

Second week of March for cars to be released from their hold at entry? Or second week of March for release at dealerships?

I could actually see validity in this.

My dealer called saying the work order now started on my M5 at Baltimore Port.
He is expecting release early March. I have my own suspicions but we shall see.

That's like saying it'll be delivered in 2018 Spring for those that have been waiting for a while.

We have already heard port release of this week and hoping it'll happen.
