Canada had several Army and Air Force bases in Germany and France. When Lahr and Baden Air bases closed in 1994, there was still a large contingent and their families left behind in various locations in Europe.

I was part of the CFSEU Unit looking after dependents. I'm surprise you would not know about our contributions over the post war years.

Ok, well our history books tells the story of US, USSR and UK, but of course I know there were and are many more countries contributing to the Alliance. We just don't hear that much about them. But that's for another forum thread :-)
