1st time to drag strip with the f90 comp

Only mod is cat less downpipes. It was a hot and humid south Florida evening! Figure I could pull a 10.7-10.8 once the engine is more broken in and a bit cooler out.
Not sure why my pic is sideways as it’s uploaded correctly but I’m on the right with the 10.9.

I'll assume you were the 10.94 @ 128 rather than the 11.32 @ 133 given the respective 60' times, unless you were launching in RWD mode ;-).

Nice time, but would be good to understand whether the downpipes make a real difference.

Yea unfortunately without me doing a baseline run it’ll be all just a guess. Maybe 30awhp? Without a tune or piggyback I’m not getting the full benefit of the Dow pipes.

You should have left the downpipes alone and just went with the JB4... Are you running the stock tune with the cats off? Must throw a code... Hopefully the ECU can adjust fueling. What fuel did you run?

Nice times for stock!!!

Edit: saw dp's as the mod, did you do Both cat less upper and lower? Evolve dyno'd with stock cats and cat less dp and picked up 60 rwhp.
BTW what was the DA / temp / humidity? Assuming your in fl too so your probably seeing high humidity like me. Excited to see what we run when winter comes.

For reference. Here is what my 19 Comp ran the other day. She’s completely stock but I added 2 gallons of e85. Those dp’s are giving you some more hp for sure 💪🏼

I specifically didn’t want a jb4 and I don’t mind a CEL. It’s on 93

Where you at? And don’t have exact numbers but it was about 85 deg and probably 70% humidity lol. Again I’m hoping for like a 10.7 once it cools down and the engine has atleast a few thousand miles on it

You'll get it for sure when it gets cooler, da lower and less humidity for sure. If you want an extra kick add some E85 to your tank, these bmw's can run it no problem. I'm on the other coast, directly west from you lol, Port Charlotte. I don't blame you for not wanting to tune since there is no said perfect tune yet or at least I don't know of. Also assuming yours is brand new (congrats) and you don't want to void warranty with is totally understandable. How loud is it with full cat less and the stock comp exhaust?

I actually have the m performance exhaust too so between that and the Dow pipes steady cruising, WOT it’s not bad at all. It’s the cold start that’s straight obnoxious. I start my car with the garage door closed in the morning lol

Hmm I don’t get why some are thinking removing a critical engine part would not affect warranty? You’re increasing the power of the engine, changing the fueling and tune of the car by removing the downpipes as the dme tries to auto tune to compensate for the increased flow. More power, more air and fuel.

It’s not like you simply changed the muffler… what do you have against the jb4?

Not trying to rain on your parade, I just don’t see the logic?

Not sure if this is aimed at me or not regarding what I have against the JB4? Surprised that would even be a question. There is enough people using the JB4 in the n54 pages sharing multiple code and engine malfunction errors using that unit to warranty concern 10 fold. https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showt...=52314&page=34

In the post I was responding to, the person was asking about the other car in the race.
