As long as they don't go 21inch on the competition pack. I hope they stay with 20 inch, it seems perfect

Between you and me, I'd rather do the M Performance lowering springs than an aftermarket brand, because it's probably easier and one less thing to worry about for a dealer red-flagging your car for unauthorized modding.

The new Akrapovic M Performance Exhaust sounds pretty good, seems like they made it a lot more aggressive sounding this time.

The other bits are as expected with the trunk spoiler and splitters and now they even made a diffuser, which was not offered for the F10 M5. I am pleasantly surprised by the new engine cover designs. So it now seems that we can opt for a Carbon Fiber Engine Cover option from the factory as a standard option or you can order the M Performance Carbon Fiber Engine Cover which is different and also comes in two pieces. Pretty clever marketing I think.
okay i promise i won't tell bmw na about this conversation

Ugh, the stickers just look like crap to me. Way overdone. It's also bugging me that the rear set of stickers has the ///M colors going the correct way on the left side, but the right side is reversed to make it look symmetrical. Just take that crap off the car already - we get it. BMW wants us to buy more M performance crap to put on our cars to give them more money for stuff that probably should've come stock. The other CF stuff doesn't look all that bad. The front grilles look cool actually, imo.

Nothing like the proverbial lipstick on a largely eight year old motor. Sure would be nice if BW would bring the M back.

I don't like the CF kidney grills.. way too aftermarket for me. Gloss black is still better. Chrome is even starting to become refreshing again and I dislike chrome.

Exactly!! Eight years old indeed. I'm ready for something new, if it ever comes.

I'm trying so hard to like this car. I was hoping the M parts would give it the special look it's been missing for me. I had planned on going from my F10 M5 But the F90 is a huge disappointment for me. There is not much about it I like at all. I'm patiently waiting for the new X5M and hoping it appeals to me as much as the outgoing one. Otherwise, I might try AMG for a bit. Which is super sad for me as I've been a loyal M car owner for almost 15 years. But AMG are doing things right in my opinion. Sad times...

Lol ya I agree. I've been an avid Benz/AMG guy my whole life and wanted a newer SUV for the family and man I just can't get ok board with the Benz interior design and the god awful tiny tablet looking nav display screen and the lack of anything digital except in the S class is just annoying and outdated. But they're exteriors have been on point lately and performance too.

I do like the interior they've done on the new M5 though. Probably because it's close in appearance to the F15/85 which is what I drive everyday. Ha

Also at this point I'm not convinced we are talking about the hottest chick on the block. Competition is stiff out there and although I like the M5, its by no means as exciting to look at as past versions were upon release and the lack of a new motor is a bit of a bummer as well. I think the trick AWD system will be a huge win and the transmission will hopefully be solid but maybe will underwhelm vs dct. Interior isn't super exciting to me either.

The car will be awesome but at that price point there are certainly some other temptations...

Ya but she's still a 1 regardless of the shoes or the other chics on the block. And we all know what that means. Them shoes ain't gonna last long if you play your cards right. ?
