Keep in mind also this one of the best drivers in the world playing on a closed track, that was built for the specific purpose of teaching average drivers what to do in dangerous situations. Nothing happened specifically because the whole experience was designed to be a no consequences classroom so idiots like me could learn what to do in the event of a real world problem.

So yeah, are they curing cancer? Nope. But if there's one person who thinks this is cool and writes a check for the $1K car control course as a result then yes, this has merit and could potentially do some good.

How is driving an M4 practical in real life? You know a chevy cruze gets better MPG. Why don't you drive that? Even if you have another daily, then how is owning two cars practical?

Most fun things in life aren't practical. Drifting is a skill which most people don't have. I see no reason why furthering your skills is stupid.

I never said practical, I said real world APPLICABLE. My argument is that using drifting to advertise is STUPID. It's not selling point for an M5 buyer (at least not for me). I think you've totally missed my point.

This is awesome! I've had Johan as my instructor for a full day of private M School. I remember talking to them about the drift record. He helped me alot with my drifting on the circle there. Would love to see him grab this record.

Evidently you've missed the whole 'Motorsport Country Club' thing (Thermal, etc). Just because you don't have a place to drift your M5 doesn't mean everyone is so unfortunate.
