So do you guys switch back to the carbon ceramics once you leave the track or just keep the non-carbon ceramic brakes yon the car all the time? Seems like a hassle.

For the CCB's, I've been using BMW pads. Endless CCB or pagid would be better, but pagid makes the stock one anyway, but it's softer for the street.

For metal, I'm going to try to get a good supply of endless.

You put the CCB's on a shelf nice and safe, and you go beat the shit out of the metals. When I found out the m4 guys are getting at best 20 events (40 days) I started planning. Great brakes, but CCB rotors are just too expensive to make a consumable.

Hoe many M5 CS owners on this site do you think are tracking their cars?

It's low. But, the M5 CS ownership is also very very low. I only know of 3 M5 CS's in my whole state. BMW won't release the actual sales numbers. Many of the cars are in the hands of speculators, who paid $142-$150 for the car and are now asking $160+, and getting it frequently.

Neither those sellers or buyers will ever see even the traction limit of this car. Unfortunate. Cause its frickin AWESOME.

Done one event, second next month. Can't wait to get back with this car and keep learning it. Shawn has been a great help.

So that's THREE. Which is probably greater than 1% of the U.S. ownership of M5 CS's. Not a bad number. Probably the same % as the M3's that get tracked.

I took my CS to Barber back in July for an HPDE weekend. It was amazing on the track - I wasn't passed a single time all weekend.

I did the PTX two-day course at Barber a couple of months later. The CS felt very similar to the 992 Turbo S around the track. I honestly enjoyed it more than the 992 Turbo S and GTS.

Great pics. What exhaust do you have? Looks like Akrapovic? Any sound clips of it with that Dinan intake? Looking at doing that to mine.

Thanks!! It's the m performance exhaust and it's combined with ER secondary DP's and Dinan inlets and intake.

I don't have any good sound clips but will get some this weekend as the weather is meant to be nice and I've been meaning to do it for a while anyway! Any special requests? Lol

Absolutely awesome. Not far away from you in Meridian, MS. Need to attend an event there or Magic City Octane.

I installed an Eventuri intake yesterday but ran into trouble with the grille scoops.

Does anyone know how to remove the front grille? It appears to be a solid piece unlike the kidney grills of the competition. Does the gold bronze piece come out separately or does the larger piece come off?

Any help appreciated.

Hah it's a bitch. The top part you can kind of pop out / wedge pretty easily. The middle and bottom not so much. Do not try and rock it. Basically pulling hard and straight back / level is the best route I believe. I broke a few tabs on each piece learning this but there are so many tabs it's beyond firmly locked in even then.

Edit: hah I found i recorded a video on my phone right after pulling the grill out. It's mostly me bitching but I show the tabs that broke and make some comments. I can upload if you want .. just lmk.

Hah. Not sure it will help or not — this wasn't a video I was planning on posting but here you go:
